It was so quiet and peaceful and there was hardly anyone out on deck. I did meet a nice couple originally from Nova Scotia who now live in Ontario.

Got ready to leave the ship by 8:30am. There was a free shuttle to the main gate of the port. Just as I got there, it left as it was full. Waited a few minutes and then asked how long to walk to the gate. 20 minutes - I decided to walk. Got to the gate just before the shuttle (I knew it wouldn't leave until it was full). Glad I walked since I was going to take the Hop on tour Bus and I was fourth in line and then the shuttle bus unloaded and then the tour bus line was huge! I got a seat on the top deck (open top bus) and had a window seat (well if it had windows it would be a window seat). Lots of people didn't make it on that bus and had to wait for the next one.
I did almost the whole loop of the route and got off at the El Corte Ingles store stop. When Wayne and I were in Spain before, we stopped in one and I loved it. It has everything from clothes to electronics and a huge grocery store. Got back on the Hop on bus for one more stop and then walked around. Lots of shops and lots of people.
Walked and walked (won't need my before dinner walk on the ship today!) Found a lovely park - Parque Garcia Sanabria - it had lots of trees which provided shade which I enjoyed for a while since it was a warm, sunny day.

I wish Wayne had been with me to sit and enjoy a beer and Tapas at one of the Cafes. He does join the ship one week from today!
By noon I had enough walking and headed back to get the shuttle to the ship. Was back on board by 12:30pm. Went and grabbed a bite to eat at the buffet. Since I wasn't really hungry, I just had some hummus and Indian crackers (see in the photo for dinner). I really like these!
By 1:30 I decided I needed a nap - between the time change yesterday, the early morning and all the walking, I was beat. Had an hour's nap and then got up to watch sail away at 3pm. Had a coffee and one of the yummy oatmeal cookies for an afternoon snack.

At 5:30pm, I met up with Jean (a woman from Halifax who I met before the cruise) and her friend Shirley for a glass of wine. Then at 6:30pm the 3 of us went to see the Ice Show. Yes, this ship has an ice rink! It was a great show!
After the show we made a quick stop at the casino. The ladies wanted to show me the penny machines. $2 goes a long way in a penny machine!
I went to the buffet for dinner. Since I didn't eat much for lunch, I was a little hungry. I had salad, peas & carrots, sushi (3), a veggie spring roll, cheese and Dahl with an Indian cracker (I forget what they are called). It was very yummy. Had a self-service soft ice cream for dessert.
Heading to bed early tonight, tired after my very early, busy day!
