May 12, 2012 Palma de Mallorca, Spain

I was up around 7:30am and went outside just in time to see us dock. Looks like it is going to be a warm sunny day.

Cruising near Malaga

Left the ship at 9:30am to catch the Hop on bus which has a stop right outside the port. Waited in line for almost an hour for the first bus to arrive (found out later they didn't start running until 10am). When the bus arrived I was a little worried I wouldn't get on. The bus already had people on it, and the line in front of me was about 15 people deep. Just as I stepped on the bus the driver said it was full. I put on a sad face and said I was only one person, and he looked back into the bus and said ok I could get on. :)

I got off at Ave. Antoni Maura. There was a market going on there. Lots of tents set up, lots of people, and it was lots of fun!

Market near the cathedral - and Sponge Bob?

There is a large Cathedral there that was lovely.

Walked around the area for a while and then headed to Plaza Mayor which is a large pedestrian area full of shops and cafe. It was now almost noon so I stopped at a cafe for some tapas and a glass of wine. The Plaza was very busy and it was great to sit and people watch.

Then I just followed the crowd to see where they would take me.

Walked and walked ending at a Hop on bus stop. Decided to get on the bus that just happened to be at the stop. Went to take a photo and the battery on the camera died. What do to... It was now a little after 2pm so I figured I would just do the loop of the bus and then go back to the ship. I was back to the ship by 3pm and then I went up to the pool and had a beer and enjoyed the sun and scenery.

Buffet for dinner and then I went out by the pool to watch sail-away.

More music trivia. It was movie theme songs. We didn't win.

Today was a wonderful day! I forgot how much I LOVE Spain!
I did really miss Wayne today. I know he would have loved Palma de Mallorca.

Tomorrow - Barcelona!
