Rhodes, Greece

We woke to another beautiful day in Greece. Wayne got me a coffee and then he went to the buffet for breakfast while I showered. We were off the ship by 9:15am. The old town of Rhodes is right at the pier. This is another town with narrow cobblestone lanes to wander around in.

We stopped for a lite lunch at a cafe and we each had a beer. We shared a tzatziki and bread and some Kalamari (they spell it with a K). It was not like the Calamari at home. It was big tough pieces with little batter. I only had 2 pieces and Wayne ate the rest.

More walking and shopping. We bought some coffee flavoured Ouzo (to take home) and a white cotton shirt for Wayne.

Time for a gelato. We both had the same flavour - Kef... not sure how to spell it but it was a Greek dessert flavour.

We headed back to the ship to drop off our purchases and pick up the tablet to take advantage of free wi-fi. Back into town where we had to buy a beer to use the internet.

Walked around a bit more and then decided to have one last drink before it was time to head back on board. I had a fresh squeezed orange juice and Wayne had another beer. The waiter asked if he wanted a small or large and Wayne said large and boy is that what he got!. It was a 1 litre glass boot of beer and he only had a little over half an hour to drink it. He was glad he didn't have to drive anywhere after drinking it.

We were back on board by 5:20pm (all aboard was 5:30pm).

Once on board we headed up to the pool deck to watch sail away and take some photos.

Buffet for dinner and then we walked around for awhile before heading back to the cabin so we could read/nap. Another quiet evening for us wild and crazy kids!

Tomorrow - a sea day
