May 8, 2012 Sea Day

Another calm day at sea. Woke around 9 and then I was off for coffee and progressive trivia. Only 2 games left after today - the 2 seas days between Tenerife and Mallorca.

Time change again today. Now we are 4 hours ahead of home.

Did a little shopping. The stores on the Promenade were having a sale - 75% off their Caribbean stuff so I bought a T-shirt, a long sleeve top and a light sweatshirt jacket. I realized I hadn't brought enough clothes for cooler weather. And this was cheaper than paying the ship to do laundry :)

Up to the buffet for a quick bite and then I sat outside by the pool to read.

 

Today was sunny and 21 but the breeze was not as warm as yesterday. Still very funny to see people laying out in bathing suits while others are in big sweaters and jackets!! While I was by the pool there was a belly flop contest. Only 3 guys joined so they let a woman join and she won and she didn't have a belly! lol

Inside for afternoon trivia and then I went to watch the Guest Talent show. It was a great show. Some very talented people! They did keep the best for last. He was a 100 year old man who talked and played the penny whistle. He was a funny man and he played well too. He got a standing ovation from the crowd!

Dinner at the buffet and I remembered to take my camera. I am trying to eat healthy so for dinner I had a salad, stir fry veggies, corn and green beans, sushi, a Thai fishcake (yucky and didn't eat it), Pad Thai and Brie.

After dinner I walked for about 45 minutes (lost track of the number of laps but 5 laps is a mile). The sun was starting to set so went back and got my good camera and I (and lots of others) set at the back of the ship and waited for it to set. The water today was so calm and some people even saw dolphins near the ship.

Didn't go to trivia tonight. It was music trivia again (Elvis songs). Hard to say but I think I have almost had my fill of trivia :)

An early night tonight. I have my alarm set for 6am.
