Livorno, Italy

I think I ate something yesterday that didn't agree with me. I had a stomach ache and didn't sleep very well. When I woke in the morning I decided I didn't want to go all the way to Florence (1.5 hours each way) feeling the way I did. Turns out the van I had organized was almost an hour late and the people from my group had already organized alternative transportation when it finally arrived.

By 11am I finally felt well enough to venture off the ship. Went into Livorno and walked around. Not the nicest town in Italy (it is a port town) but it was still Italy!

I had to have a gelato and it was just what my stomach needed.

More walking and window shopping. I was back on the ship by 2pm and went out and laid in the sun for an hour to read.

Back to the cabin to rest/read and then dinner in the buffet.

Off to our last game of trivia for this cruise and with this team. 2 of our teammates - Bruce and Cathy are leaving tomorrow.

Then I went to the farewell show. I always like seeing all the staff and crew up on stage.

Back to the cabin to start packing - tomorrow is moving day. I couldn't get the same cabin for both cruises so I have to move down the hall 4 cabins. It will be nice to have a change of scenery after 15 days.

Then I walked the Promenade to say goodbye to some of the people I had met. Took a few photos and was happy that it was not my last day on the ship.

Just as I was walking down the hall to my cabin, my neighbour Gwen was putting her luggage outside her cabin. We chatted in her cabin for a while. I got back to my cabin around 11:30pm.

Wayne arrives tomorrow!!
